Biodiversity Reporting

UKBAP Reporting

Reviewing and reporting progress every three years is one of the key elements of the Biodiversity Action Plan at all levels in the UK.

This national reporting occurs every three years, to identify progress by national organisations and LBAPs towards the targets set.

Guidance on this reporting round can be found at the UKBAP webpage, or downloaded from this page.

BARS

The Reporting round uses the national online reporting system, BARS, (Biodiversity Action Reporting System). It includes national, local and company Biodiversity Action Plans (BAPs) and the Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans of all four countries.

The BARS database holds a wide range of information on activities and contributions being made to maintain or increase biodiversity in the UK. These activities and contributions are made by a wide range of organisations, partnerships and individuals.

NBN Gateway

The National Biodiversity Network is the UKs first web-based route to wildlife information. The NBN works with Local Record Centres and National schemes and societies to assist with sharing data.

See NBN for details, or visit our pages on Local Record Centres.
